Webinars and information forum will be provided for parents to help address this issue. Support for parents in need of parenting strategies will be included to adequately address this issue for adults, children, and adolescents among minority and underserved populations in Calvert County will be provided using evidence-based interventions to include Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Expressive Arts, Mindfulness Strategies, Yoga, and other therapeutic modalities to learn coping skills.

A series of four educational webinars, 90 min. each

Purpose:

Identify, educate, and provide strategies to reduce the impact of psycho-social impact of diabetes in minority families.

Provide strategies to reduce behavioral issues related to non-compliance of diabetes treatments in children and adolescents.

Target audience:

Minority families with Type I and Type II diabetes.
