Barstow Acres Children’s Center is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization. As a non-profit organization, we provide services to at-risk families on a sliding scale. We request donations in order to fulfill our mission. Your contributions will help support our “Adopt a Camper Campaign” where children are matched to donations to allow attendance at our Therapeutic Summer Day Camp. Additionally, it would allow us to provide sliding scale fees for our services and assistance for our other programs.
All donations are tax-free.
Other Ways to Support UsApart from making a donation, you can also choose to support us in other ways:
Adopt a Camper CampaignFunds are solicited from the community in the amount of $225.00 to enable a child to attend summer camp for at least one week. Donation letters are available to distribute to friends and family members. Fundraisers are held during the year as well. Every summer we award numerous scholarships to deserving children, thanks to the United Way of Calvert County, Calvert County Arts Council, the Keossean Foundation and many other private donors. If you would like to donate, please contact us!
Sponsor Our Snacks and Paper ProductsApproximately thirty campers receive a snack and drink each day, and this really adds up. If you are able to donate healthy snacks and drinks, they can be dropped off at 590 Main Street in Prince Frederick. Paper goods such as toilet paper, napkins, etc.
